Bio

Judy Schmitz is a lifelong amateur musician who loves playing alongside the music professionals in Worcester Winds.  She is thankful for her public school music teachers, and the many inspiring conductors that she has played with, for sharing their skills and enthusiasm for live music.  She also currently plays in the Nashoba Symphonic Band, the Quabbin Community Band, the Duke Alumni Pep Band, and with WAWOP (World Adult Wind Orchestra Project) at the Mid Europe Festival in Austria.

During the week Judy leads the Central Region Wetlands Program at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.

When not playing music or working in swamps she loves to spend time with family, go on hikes in the woods, grow vegetables, solve puzzles, and read books.
