Position Open:
Worcester Winds, a volunteer dectet of music teachers and professionals, seeks a volunteer conductor to lead our ensemble.
Desired skills include:
- Conducting training and/or experience
- Music degree (performance or education)
- Ability to provide leadership, in consultation with members, around repertoire, rehearsals, concert schedule and musical growth of the ensemble.
- Familiarity with wind instrumentation and performance techniques preferred.
Applicants should have sufficient schedule availability to lead two rehearsals each month; and conduct two to four concerts annually. Rehearsals currently occur on either Saturday mornings or Sunday evenings.
Occasional performance stipends are available as funding permits.
